Diode Continuity Check

  1. Verify ignition is off. Disconnect ABS fail-safe relay.
  2. Set VOM on 200 ohm scale. At ABS fail-safe relay, connect positive VOM lead to terminal "j". Connect negative lead to terminal "h". Resistance should be less than 5 ohms.
  3. Set VOM on 20 k/ohm scale. At ABS fail-safe relay, connect positive VOM lead to terminal "h". Connect negative lead to terminal "j". Resistance should be greater than 10,000 ohms.
  4. If resistances are as specified, go to PINPOINT TESTS WL-1  through WL-3 . If resistances are not as specified, replace ABS fail-safe relay.
