Stator Coil Ground
- Stator must be removed from the rectifier. Set ohmmeter to 1000-ohm scale. Place ohmmeter lead on the stator lead terminals and remaining lead on the stator laminated core. See Fig 1.
- Ensure lead makes good connection with stator core. Ohmmeter should show no continuity. Stator winding is grounded to the core if reading is obtained. Replace stator if grounded.
