Fusible Link Circuit

Ensure battery is fully charged and in good condition. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter and with harness connector connected, check for battery voltage at alternator BAT terminal. See Figure. If battery voltage is present, circuit is okay. If no voltage is present, replace fusible link.

NOTE: The fusible link is a short length of insulated wire that is integral with the circuit between the starter solenoid and the alternator.
