Circuit Tests

On Escort and Tracer, use DVOM when performing circuit tests; on all others, use Cruise Control Tester (007-00013). Using cruise control tester allows technician to operate system while performing diagnosis. Tester works on vehicles with all combinations of control switches, transmissions, speedometers, brakes and clutches. Using either Automatic, Single Scan or Scan Probe functions can identify failures in wiring, vacuum hoses, switches and servo. Cruise control tester should be used in conjunction with CIRCUIT TESTS.
