Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the radiator.
3. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.
4. Using a suitable wrench, remove the ECT sensor.

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor:

INSTALLATION
1. Install the ECT sensor. TIGHTEN to 18-22 ft. lb. (25-29 N-m).
2. Connect the ECT sensor electrical connector.
3. Refill the cooling system.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
