Pinpoint Test C4: Steering Angle Sensor Check

  1. Disconnect steering angle sensor connector. Set steering wheel straight. Set VOM on 200-k/ohm scale. Measure resistance between Green and Green/White wires while turning steering wheel slowly from straight to 180 degrees left. If resistance decreases from 25 k/ohms to approximately 200 ohms, proceed to PINPOINT TEST C5  . If resistance is NOT as specified, replace steering angle sensor.
  2. With steering wheel straight, measure resistance between Green and Green/Yellow wires. If resistance is 40-60 k/ohms, proceed to PINPOINT TEST C5  . If resistance is NOT as specified, replace steering angle sensor.
