Accessory Relay Test

  1. Turn ignition on. Set W/W switch in OFF position. Connect voltmeter between ground and Black wire terminal of accessory relay connector. If voltage is 11-13 volts, go to step 2). If voltage is not 11-13 volts, replace accessory relay.
  2. Disconnect accessory relay connector. Connect ohmmeter between ground and Black wire terminal of accessory relay connector. If continuity exists, go to step 3). If continuity does not exist, repair open condition in Black wire between accessory relay and ground.
  3. Reconnect accessory relay connector. Connect voltmeter between ground and Blue wire terminal of accessory relay connector. If voltage is 11-13 volts, go to ACCESSORY RELAY-TO-INTERVAL GOVERNOR SUPPLY TEST. If voltage is not 11-13 volts, replace accessory relay.
