Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Component Location:

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect throttle position sensor wiring harness.

2. Scribe a reference mark across edge of sensor and throttle body.

3. Remove throttle position sensor retaining screws and sensor.


INSTALLATION
1. Position TP sensor and gasket on throttle body.

2. Install the two TP sensor retaining screws.
Torque to 14 in lbs (1.5 Nm).

3. Connect throttle position sensor wiring harness.

NOTE:
- The TP sensor is not adjustable

- It may be necessary to adjust the idle speed.
