Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Throttle Body Assembly:





1. Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor from the wiring harness.
2. Remove the TP sensor retaining screws, then remove the TP sensor and gasket.
3. Install a new gasket and the TP sensor, positioning the throttle position sensor so that the connector is facing rearward.
4. Install the TP sensor retaining screws, tightening to 11-16 in lb (1.2-1.8 Nm).
5. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.

NOTE: The TP sensor is not adjustable.
