Removal (2.3L)

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE  under FUEL SYSTEM (GASOLINE). Disconnect fuel supply and return lines. See PUSH-CONNECT FITTINGS  under FUEL SYSTEM (GASOLINE).
  2. Remove upper intake manifold and throttle body assembly. See UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD & THROTTLE BODY - 2.3L  under FUEL SYSTEM (GASOLINE). Disconnect wiring harness from injectors. Remove fuel supply manifold retaining bolts. Carefully disengage manifold and fuel injectors from engine. Remove manifold and injectors. See Figure.
