Quick Test: Self-Test
- When Self-Test is activated, it checks amplifier and all other cruise control circuits. It verifies sensors and servo are connected and operating. Trouble codes are indicated by 12 volt test light. To retrieve codes from amplifier, ensure ignition is off.
- Locate cruise control amplifier, secured to right side of steering column. Connect a 12 volt test light between Green/White wire terminal and open terminal of amplifier connector. See Figure . Ensure ignition and cruise control are off.
- Turn ignition and cruise control on. Move control lever to RESUME position and hold there at least 3 seconds. After control lever is released, test light should glow for 3 seconds. At this point, amplifier is in Self-Test mode. Test light will now indicate any stored codes. Record all codes. See SELF-TEST CODES table.
