Check Engine Warning Light Will Not Go Off

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect White/Blue wire from Electronic Control Assembly (ECA) 24-pin connector. See IDENTIFYING ECA 24-PIN CONNECTOR (TURBO) or IDENTIFYING ECA 24-PIN CONNECTOR (NON-TURBO) illustration. ECA 24-pin connector is located forward of center console.
  2. Start engine. If CHECK ENGINE warning light goes off, check computerized engine control system, and repair as necessary. If CHECK ENGINE light does not go off, repair White/Blue wire between instrument panel and ECA.
