Steering Angle Sensor Check

  1. Disconnect steering angle sensor connector. Place steering wheel in straight-ahead position. Set VOM on 200-k/ohm scale. Measure resistance between Green and Green/White wires. Resistance should be zero to 15 k/ohms.
  2. Turn steering wheel slowly from straight-ahead to 180 degrees right. If resistance increase is less than 20 k/ohms above straight-ahead specification, proceed to PINPOINT TEST B4. If resistance increase is 20 k/ohms or more above straight-ahead position, replace steering angle sensor.
