Regulator Power Source Test
- Disconnect alternator wiring plug. Turn ignition switch to ON position (engine not running). Connect positive voltmeter lead to "S" terminal on alternator wiring plug. See Fig 1. Connect negative volt-meter lead to alternator rear housing.
- If voltage is same as battery voltage, go to ROTOR FIELD COIL TEST . If voltage is less than battery voltage, problem is indicated between harness connector terminal "S" and battery.
