Temperature Sensor Check

  1. Remove coolant temperature sensor. Coolant temperature sensor is located at top left rear side of engine. Place water temperature sensor in container of water. Heat water to 176(0)F (80(0)C).
  2. Measure resistance between case and terminal of coolant temperature sensor. If resistance is 49-58 ohms, temperature sensor is okay. Check cooling system, and repair as necessary. Replace coolant temperature sensor if resistance is not 49-58 ohms.
