Control Switches (3.0L)
Check main cruise control circuit fuse and stoplight fuse first. Replace fuses, and repair wiring as necessary. If fuses are okay, disconnect 6-pin amplifier connector. Connect volt-meter between Blue wire and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
2) Turn ignition on. Press ON button and check for battery voltage. If battery voltage is not present, check circuit between control switch and amplifier connector. Repair system as necessary.
3) Connect ohmmeter between same circuit and ground. Rotate steering wheel through its full range, while performing the following checks:
- Press OFF button and check for a reading of 0-1 ohm.
- Press SET/ACCEL button and check for a reading between 646 -714 ohms.
- Press COAST button and check for a reading between 114-126 ohms.
- Press RESUME button and check for a reading between 2090-2310 ohms.
If resistance is not within specification, isolate and recheck switches and ground. Repair or replace as necessary. Reconnect amplifier connector.
