Steering Wheel Rotation Sensor Signals Check

  1. Start engine. Using an analog ohmmeter set on 1K scale, measure resistance between pins No. 18 and 6 while rotating steering wheel. Measure resistance between pins No. 19 and 6 while rotating steering wheel. Needle should fluctuate approximately every 9 degrees of rotation.
  2. If needle fluctuation occurs for both circuits, shut engine off and replace EVO control module. If fluctuation does not occur for both circuits, proceed to QUICK TEST I4  .
