Steering Wheel Rotation Sensor Wire Check

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect 26-pin connector from EVO control module in trunk. Unplug harness from steering wheel rotation sensor. Inspect for damage or improper connections. Repair as necessary.
  2. On Crown Victoria and Grand Marquis, test continuity of circuits No. 834 and 835 from steering wheel rotation sensor to EVO control module connector. Also check continuity between circuits No. 837 and 57. On Town Car, test continuity of circuits No. 633, 634 and 57 from steering wheel rotation sensor to EVO control module. If open circuits are found, repair harness as necessary. If continuity is okay, proceed to QUICK TEST I5  .
