Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect sensor electrical connector.

3. Remove mounting screws and sensor.

INSTALLATION

1. Place sensor in mounting position.

2. Install mounting screws.

3. Adjust TP sensor as needed. Refer Throttle Position/Adjustments. Adjustments

4. Tighten the sensor holddown screws to 1.6-2.4 Nm (14-21 lb ft).

4. Connect sensor electrical connector.

5. Connect negative battery cable.
