Axle Shafts - Front: Lubrication

Front hub bearings are a cartridge design, and require no scheduled maintenance. On Probe, inner and outer joints utilize 2 different types of grease. The inner CV joint requires High Temperature Grease (E43Z-19590-A ). The outer CV joint requires CV Joint Grease (E2FZ-19590-B ).

On all other models except Escort & Tracer, use CV Joint Grease (E43Z-19590-A ) on inner and outer CV joints. On Escort & Tracer, use Yellow grease on inner CV joint and Black grease on outer CV joint. Transaxle must be filled with Mercon (ESW-M2C138-CJ ).
