Turn Signal Switch Test

  1. Turn ignition off. Unplug connectors from combination switch. Set switch to no-turn position. Measure resistance between switch terminals 2E (Green/Yellow wire on mating connector) and 1E (Black/Green wire). Resistance should be greater than 10,000 ohms.
  2. Measure resistance between switch terminals 2F (Black/Red wire on mating connector) and 1E (Black/Green wire). Resistance should be greater than 10,000 ohms.
  3. Set switch to left-turn position. Measure resistance between switch terminals 2E (Green/Yellow wire on mating connector) and 1E (Black/Green wire). Resistance should be less than 5 ohms.
  4. Measure resistance between switch terminals 2F (Black/Red wire on mating connector) and 1E (Black/Green wire). Resistance should be greater than 10,000 ohms.
  5. Set switch to right-turn position. Measure resistance between switch terminals 2E (Green/Yellow wire on mating connector) and 1E (Black/Green wire). Resistance should be greater than 10,000 ohms.
  6. Measure resistance between switch terminals 2F (Black/Red wire on mating connector) and 1E (Black/Green wire). Resistance should be less than 5 ohms.
