Control Module: Service and Repair

2.5L Models:

Removal

CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result. Refer to Module Servicing Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the RH and LH kick panels.
3. Remove the Transaxle Control Module (TCM) attaching bolts.
4. Disconnect the TCM electrical connectors.

Installation
1. Connect the TCM electrical connectors.
2. Install the TCM.
3. Tighten the TCM attaching bolts to 19-25 N-m (14-18 lb-ft).
4. Install the RH and LH kick panels.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
