Bench Testing: Rectifier

  1. Disconnect stator leads from rectifier. Measure resistance between each positive rectifier terminal and positive heat sink. Transpose ohmmeter leads and repeat measurement. Resistance should be high for one set of measurements, and low for the other set of measurements. Replace rectifier if resistance is not as specified.
  2. Repeat step 1) for negative diodes and negative heat sink. Replace rectifier if resistance is not as specified.
