Load Test
With engine running, turn on air conditioner. Set blower to high speed. Turn on high beam headlights. Increase engine speed to 2000 RPM. Voltage should stabilize at least 0.5 volt higher than that measured in step 1) of NO-LOAD TEST. If voltage increase is as specified, alternator is okay. If voltage increase is not as specified, repair or replace alternator.
