Door Lock Actuator Test

CAUTION:
When performing the following test, DO NOT
not apply power to actuator for longer than 5 seconds.
- Apply 12 volts to actuator terminals. Actuator should operate. Actuator rod should complete its travel in less than one second. Transpose leads to actuator. Actuator should operate in reverse direction at same speed.
- Measure actuator current. Transpose jumper leads to measure reverse current. Replace actuator if current exceeds 6 amps, or if response is not as specified. If doors do not lock or unlock with remote transmitter, go to PINPOINT TEST A . If illuminated entry feature does not work with remote transmitter, go to PINPOINT TEST B . There are numerous references to Remote Keyless Entry Module (RKEM) connectors in the following PINPOINT TESTS. See Fig 1 .
