Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

REMOVE

1. Partially drain engine cooling system.

2. Disconnect battery ground cable.

3. Disconnect fuel charging wiring from Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor.

4. Remove ECT sensor from hot water heater elbow connection.

INSTALL

1. Reverse Removal procedure. Tighten ECT sensor to 12-17 Nm (9-13 ft lb).

2. Refill cooling system
