Wipers Inoperative
- Ensure WIPER fuse is okay. Unplug connectors from combination switch and wiper motor. Turn ignition on. Check for battery voltage on Blue wire at wiper motor and combination switch connectors. If battery voltage exists and wipers do not work, go to next step. If battery voltage exists and wipers do not park, replace wiper motor. If battery voltage does not exist, repair Blue wire.
- Turn ignition off. Unplug 14-pin connector from combination switch. See Fig 1 . Measure resistance between switch terminals for each pair of wires, at switch positions specified. See FRONT WIPER SWITCH CONTINUITY table. If resistance is less than 5 ohms for each measurement, go to next step. Replace switch if resistance is not as specified.
- Inspect all harness wiring for continuity and shorts. See WIRING DIAGRAMS. Check Black wire for continuity between motor case and ground. Repair as necessary. If wiring and switch are okay, replace motor.
