Clearing Codes

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION section.

To clear trouble codes, deactivate self-test by disconnecting jumper wire from PCM STI terminal at Data Link Connector (DLC). Disconnect negative (-) battery cable. Depress brake pedal for 5-10 seconds. All hard codes and intermittent codes will be erased from PCM memory.
