Test Procedure

Connect pressure gauge to the line pressure test port. See Figure . Start engine. Apply service and parking brakes. Check pressure in all gears. See LINE PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS (PSI)  . If line pressure is not within specification, perform appropriate electronic Diagnostic and Pinpoint test. See AUTO TRANS DIAGNOSIS - CD4E article. If no electronic faults are present, perform air pressure checks and service valve body. See AIR PRESSURE CHECK  .
