Driver-Side Air Bag Module: Installation

- Connect air bag module wiring connector to clockspring (contact assembly) connector. Position air bag module on steering wheel. Install and tighten 2 air bag module retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS TABLE at the end of this article.
- Activate air bag system. Check AIR BAG warning light to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK.
