Test Equipment

Following test equipment is necessary to complete EI system tests.
- EI Diagnostic Cable (Rotunda 007-00044)
- Spark Tester (D89P-6666-A)
- Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (DVOM)
- Remote Starter Switch
- 2 Breakout Boxes (T83L-50-EEC-IV)
- High Voltage Spark Tester (A spark plug with a broken side electrode is not sufficient to check for spark and may lead to incorrect results.)
- Tachometer
- Tachometer Adapter (Rotunda 007-00061)
- Incandescent 12-Volt Test Light
- Inductive Type Timing Light
- EI Module Tester (007-00071, If Available)
- EI Sensor/Coil Tester (007-00072, If Available)
NOTE:
A 12-volt incandescent (high voltage) test light should not be used to test CID, IDM, PIP or SPOUT circuit signals.
