Single Switch

  1. With switch removed from vehicle, test with a self-powered test light or ohmmeter. With switch in NEUTRAL position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7. See Fig 1.
  2. With switch in DOWN position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 2 and 3, and No. 1, 4, 5 and 7.
  3. With switch in UP position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 3 and 4, and No. 1, 2, 5 and 7. If switch does not test as described, replace switch.
