Functional Lock

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. On models equipped with tilt column, remove upper extension shroud by detaching from retaining clip at 9 o'clock position.
3. Remove both trim shroud halves.
4. Disconnect key warning switch electrical connector.
5. Turn ignition key to RUN.
6. Insert a 1/8 inch diameter wire pin into hole in casting around lock cylinder. Remove lock cylinder while depressing retaining pin with wire.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Lock cylinder must be in RUN and retaining pin depressed during installation. Following installation, turn key to check for correct operation in all positions.
