MB1 - Check Vehicle DLC to Scan Tool Connection and Wiring

- Key Off.

- Inspect the connection between the Scan Tool and vehicle Data Link Connector (DLC) for damaged or pushed out pins, etc.

- Inspect the Scan Tool wiring cable for obvious damage.

- Are the DLC and Scan Tool properly connected and is the Scan Tool wiring cable OK?

YES -- GO to MB2. MB2 - Check Scan Tool Power Supply Connector and Wiring Cable

NO -- SERVICE as necessary. RUN the Scan Tool "System Readiness" test to verify communication between the Scan Tool and PCM. On-Board System Readiness Test
