Pinpoint Test C - Side Mirrors Do Not Function Properly
- Power Mirror System Function Test
- Remove door trim panel on side with malfunction. Using DVOM, backprobe harness connector at each connector terminal. See Figure
. Actuate switch for each function. See CIRCUIT FUNCTION TEST table. If voltage is indicated at proper circuit as switch is actuated, replace mirror assembly. Retest system. If voltage is not indicated at proper circuit, go to next step.
- Circuit Check
- Remove mirror switch from dash. See SIDE MIRROR SWITCH
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using DVOM, backprobe suspect circuit at switch connector while adjusting mirror. If voltage is indicated, service crossed wires in harness. If voltage is not indicated, replace switch and retest system.
