Automatic Transaxle

Park/Neutral Position Switch:

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch electrical connector.
3. Use an extension and a crow's foot wrench to remove the switch from the front LH side of the transaxle case.

INSTALLATION
1. Apply Gasket Eliminator E1FZ-19562-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESA-M1C75-B to the threads of the PNP switch.
2. Install the switch onto the transaxle case and tighten to 19-26 Nm (14-19 lb ft).
3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Connect the battery ground cable.
