Visual Inspection

  1. Ensure master cylinder reservoir is full and parking brake is fully released. Inspect wheel speed sensors and brakelines for damage. Inspect wheel bearings for looseness or damage. Repair items as necessary.
  2. Ensure ABS/HEATER BLOWER (60-amp) fuse and ABS (30-amp) fuse in engine compartment fuse block are okay. Ensure ABS MODULE (7.5-amp) fuse in instrument panel fuse block is okay. Check ABS warning indicator bulb.
  3. Check for damage to wiring harness. Check for loose or corroded connectors. Make necessary repairs. If problem remains after inspection, go to SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS .
