Removal and Replacement






REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn the adaptive strategy.

2. Remove PCM electrical connector retainer bolt.
3. Remove engine control sensor wiring connector from PCM.
4. Remove PCM bracket clip.
5. Remove PCM.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse removal procedure.
2. Tighten PCM electrical connector retainer bolt to 3.7 Nm (32 in lb).
