Test Notes

NOTE: You should enter this pinpoint test only when you have been directed here from diagnostic routines.

The transmission solenoids and the Transmission Range (TR) sensor are not analyzed in this pinpoint test. To prevent the replacement of good components, be aware that the following non-EEC areas may be at fault:
- Aftermarket modifications
- Incorrect transmission fluid level
- Transmission operating temperature
- Engine operating temperature
- Ambient temperature
- Faulty connections
- Engine sensors (e.g. Throttle Position [TP] Sensor)

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose only the following:
- Harness circuits: CCS, SS1, SS2, EPC, TCC, TFT and TR
- Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
