Trouble Code Access

- Use New Generation Star (NGS) Tester (49 T088 0A0) to retrieve trouble codes. Connect NGS tester to data link connector-2. See Fig 1. Refer to operation manual for proper operation of NGS tester. Select DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES function on tester and press trigger.
- Note trouble codes. Check TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION Table. TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION table for possible cause. If more than one code is present, codes will be displayed in numerical order. Clear codes after repairs are complete. See CLEARING CODES . If NO CODES RECEIVED/SYSTEM PASSED is displayed, all systems monitored are okay. If LINK MONITOR ERROR is displayed, check NGS tester connection for proper connection.
