Manifold Absolute Pressure (Map) Sensor

- Warm engine to operating temperature. Turn all accessories off. Connect positive lead of voltmeter to MAP sensor terminal "A" and negative lead to terminal "B". See Fig 1 .
- With engine at idle, voltmeter should read 1.3-1.6 volts. Disconnect and plug vacuum hose from MAP sensor. Voltmeter should read 2.38-2.78 volts. Connect a vacuum pump to MAP sensor, and apply 29 in. Hg. Voltmeter should read 4.35-4.65 volts. If voltmeter readings are not as specified, replace MAP sensor.
