Anti-Afterburn Control

Start engine and allow it to idle. Disconnect Idle Air Control (IAC) valve connector. Raise engine speed to more than 4000 RPM, and quickly close throttle. As engine decelerates, engine should run rough between 1000-1500 RPM, and then idle smoothly. No other information is available. If engine does not operate as specified, check idle air control valve.
