Visual Inspection

  1. Ensure master cylinder reservoir is full and parking brake is fully released. Inspect wheel sensors and brakelines for damage. Inspect wheel bearings for looseness or damage. Repair items as necessary.
  2. Ensure 60-amp (MAIN) ABS fuse in engine compartment fuse block is okay. Ensure 10-amp ABS (No. 7), 15-amp STOP LAMP (No. 9) and 10-amp METER (No. 15) fuses in instrument panel fuse block are okay. Check ANTI-LOCK warning light bulb.
  3. Check for damage to wiring harness. Check for loose or corroded connectors. Make necessary repairs. If problem remains after inspection, proceed to SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS  .
