Alternator: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and remove accessory drive belt from alternator pulley.
2. Disconnect wire harness attachments to alternator and voltage regulator assembly.
3. Remove mounting bracket top of alternator, then mounting bolts and alternator.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Torque mounting bolts to 15-22 ft lb and mounting bracket bolt to 5.9-8.8 ft lb.
