System Operation Check

Turn ignition on. AIR BAG warning light should come on for about 7 seconds and then go off, indicating SRS is okay. If AIR BAG warning light does not come on, service Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). If AIR BAG warning light comes on for about 7 seconds, then starts flashing, a fault code is set in memory. Diagnose and repair as necessary.
