Wipers Do Not Park Properly
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect wiper motor connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and Blue wire at wiper motor connector. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair Blue wire as necessary.
- Test wiper motor. See WIPER MOTOR under COMPONENT TESTING. Replace wiper motor as necessary. If wiper motor is okay, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect wiper motor connector and multifunction switch 14-pin connector. Measure resistance of Blue/Black wire between wiper motor wiring harness connector and multifunction switch connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Blue/Black wire.
- Measure resistance between ground and Blue/Black wire. If resistance is more than 10,000 ohms, replace multifunction switch. If resistance is 10,000 ohms or less, repair short to ground in Blue/Black wire.
