Fuel Rails: Removal
- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Remove air cleaner housing and air ducts. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect fuel supply and return lines. Discard copper crush washer. Disconnect fuel injector connectors. Remove fuel pressure regulator.
- Remove fuel rail bolts, insulators and fuel rails. Remove screws attaching distribution harness to fuel rails. Remove and discard spacer from top of each fuel injector. Carefully rotate each injector back and forth, and remove injectors from fuel rails.
