Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Volume Air Flow (VAF) sensor.
3. Loosen the engine air cleaner tube clamp on the sensor side of the air cleaner to intake manifold tube.
4. Remove air cleaner to intake manifold tube from the VAF sensor.
5. Remove the two bolts and slide VAF sensor from the engine air cleaner cover.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Torque sensor bolts to 8-10 Nm (71-88 in lb).
