Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Drain the transmission fluid.
4. Disconnect the Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch connector.
5. Remove the switch and discard the gasket.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the switch using a new gasket.
2. Tighten the switch to 20-29 Nm (15-21 lb ft).
3. Connect the electrical connector
4. Refill the transaxle with fluid.
5. Lower the vehicle. Ensure proper operation of all systems.
