EEC-V Testing: Notes
NOTE:
Retrieval of Diagnostic Trouble Codes on EEC-V equipped vehicles is accomplished using Ford New Generation Star (NGS) Scan Tool (007-00500) or a generic scan tool. To retrieve and clear DTCs, follow scan tool manufacturer's instructions.
NOTE:
A breakout box, connected to vehicle harness at Powertrain Control Module (PCM), is necessary to perform the following test. References to Test Pin No. found in the following test steps refer to test terminals on manufacturer's breakout box.
